तेजी से बदलते वैश्विक परिवेश, अभूतपूर्व अवसरों तथा जटिल चुनौतियों के इस युग में प्रबुद्ध नेतृत्व और प्रभावी सुशासन की आवश्यकता पहले से कहीं अधिक बढ़ गई है। राष्ट्र केवल आर्थिक प्रगति या तकनीकी उन्नति से नहीं बनते, बल्कि दूरदर्शी नेतृत्व, सुदृढ़ नीतिनिर्माण, नैतिक प्रशासन और जागरूक नागरिकों के सामूहिक प्रयासों से निर्मित होते हैं। यही विचार इंडियन इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ लीडरशिप, पॉलिसी एंड गवर्नेंस (IILPG) की स्थापना का आधार है।
IILPG में हमारा दृष्टिकोण एक ऐसे समाज का निर्माण करना है जहाँ नेतृत्व सत्यनिष्ठा से प्रेरित हो, सुशासन ज्ञान से सशक्त हो और शिक्षा सामाजिक प्रगति एवं राष्ट्रीय विकास का माध्यम बने। हमारा विश्वास है कि प्रत्येक व्यक्ति में सकारात्मक परिवर्तन का वाहक बनने की क्षमता निहित होती है, यदि उसे उचित मार्गदर्शन, अवसर और अनुकूल शिक्षण वातावरण प्राप्त हो।

इसी उद्देश्य की पूर्ति हेतु IILPG विभिन्न ऑनलाइन प्रमाणपत्र पाठ्यक्रम, अल्पकालिक कार्यक्रम, डिप्लोमा कार्यक्रम, कार्यकारी शिक्षा पहल, समर स्कूल, विंटर स्कूल, नेतृत्व विकास कार्यक्रम, नीति कार्यशालाएँ, सुशासन प्रशिक्षण मॉड्यूल तथा क्षमता निर्माण पाठ्यक्रम संचालित करता है, जो वर्तमान समय की आवश्यकताओं और शिक्षार्थियों की बदलती अपेक्षाओं को ध्यान में रखकर तैयार किए गए हैं।

जैसे-जैसे भारत वैश्विक नेतृत्व की दिशा में आगे बढ़ रहा है, वैसे-वैसे ऐसे व्यक्तियों की आवश्यकता बढ़ रही है जो सुशासन को समझते हों, संवैधानिक मूल्यों का सम्मान करते हों, विविधता को अपनाते हों और संस्थानों एवं समुदायों का नेतृत्व करने की क्षमता रखते हों। इंडियन इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ लीडरशिप, पॉलिसी एंड गवर्नेंस शिक्षा और नेतृत्व, ज्ञान और क्रियान्वयन, तथा आकांक्षा और उपलब्धि के बीच एक सशक्त सेतु बनने का प्रयास कर रहा है।
मेरा दृढ़ विश्वास है कि नेतृत्व केवल किसी पद या अधिकार तक सीमित नहीं है। वास्तविक नेतृत्व वह है जो विश्वास उत्पन्न करे, अवसरों का सृजन करे, मूल्यों की रक्षा करे और समाज के व्यापक हित के लिए निरंतर कार्य करे। हमारी शैक्षणिक पहलों और क्षमता निर्माण कार्यक्रमों के माध्यम से हम ऐसे नेताओं का निर्माण करना चाहते हैं जो केवल पेशेवर रूप से सक्षम ही नहीं, बल्कि सामाजिक रूप से संवेदनशील, नैतिक रूप से दृढ़ और वैश्विक दृष्टिकोण से समृद्ध हों।
संस्थान के निदेशक के रूप में मैं विद्यार्थियों, पेशेवरों, शोधार्थियों, लोकसेवकों, उद्यमियों और भावी नेताओं का हार्दिक स्वागत करता हूँ तथा उन्हें इस सामूहिक प्रयास का हिस्सा बनने के लिए आमंत्रित करता हूँ। आइए, हम सब मिलकर ऐसा भविष्य निर्मित करें जहाँ ज्ञान व्यक्तियों को सशक्त बनाए, नेतृत्व समुदायों को परिवर्तित करे और सुशासन राष्ट्रों को मजबूत बनाए।
